2009 Basic Economic Development Course


USF's Basic Economic Development Course is a three-day course designed to serve as an introduction to economic development and to prepare individuals for the CEcD exam.

The course is accredited by the International Economic Development Council. It fulfills one of the prerequisites for those who wish to take the examinations for the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation.Attendance of all course classes are required for the graduation certificate.

For information and assistance outside the SBDC’s scope, the Small Business Resource Network (SBRN), a public-private partnership of the Florida Small Business Development Center Network and member firms, is a free information clearing-house to connect small businesses with government and non-profit agencies and the fee-for-service professional expertise they need to achieve their business goals. SBRN professionals assist in the areas of accounting, banking and commercial lending, finance, insurance, law, human resources, marketing, management, technology and other business consulting areas. Agency members specialize in a variety of small business assistance programs.

ALL SEMINARS
Registration must be completed at least 2 days prior to the scheduled event. Payment for all seminars MUST be done with a credit card. As of 1/1/2009, we are no longer able to accept checks or cash. Check-in for all entreprenerial programs starts a half-hour before each program. If you are unable to attend class, notify SBDC 48 hours prior to the event to be eligible to receive a credit towards a future class. Credit is only valid for 6 months. No refunds apply. No shows will be charged and not eligible for credit or refunds.
